Why unwanted facial hair appears

Unwanted facial hair bothers women and men alike. The causes are usually genetic, hormonal imbalance, metabolic changes or certain medications. Hair growth also changes with age and often becomes more visible.

Facial skin is thin and sensitive, and the usual methods are hard on it. How laser works on the face

Laser light is absorbed by the melanin in the hair and reaches the follicle, damaging it. Growth slows down and the hairs get finer until they are barely noticeable. After a few sessions they are sparser, thinner and lighter, and for many people the reduction is permanent.

Facial areas and prices

Each area is booked separately, so you only pay for what bothers you. Prices are per session with the online price, with the regular clinic price in brackets:

• Upper lip: €15 (€18.75). The most requested area for women and one of the most affordable, since it is small.
• Chin: €15 (€18.75). For women and men who want to remove unwanted hair in this area.
• Cheeks and cheekbones: €15 each (€18.75). Ideal for fine hair on the cheeks.
• Sideburns: €15 (€18.75). Often chosen by men who want to shape their facial hairline.
• Neck and nape: €15 each (€18.75).
• Full face: €30 (€37.50) for women and €40 (€50) for men.

For women and for men

Women

For women it is usually the upper lip and chin. Laser removes the need for constant hair removal, and a small area takes only a few minutes.

Men

Before your session

• Stop removing hair from the root 2–3 weeks before your first session: no waxing, tweezing or depilatory creams.
• Trim the hairs with scissors 1–2 days before the treatment.
• For a month before, avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning beds and self-tanners.
• Use SPF 50+ sunscreen on the treated areas throughout the course.
• Do not pluck between sessions. If needed, trim with scissors.

Before every session the specialist checks that your skin is ready. During pregnancy the treatment is postponed until after giving birth and breastfeeding.

After the treatment

Wait at least 24 hours before wearing makeup so the skin can settle. For the first few days use a high-SPF sunscreen. The treatment can be done all year round, as long as you follow the sun and SPF guidelines.

How many sessions you need

Hair grows in phases, so full results usually take 6–8 sessions. Facial hair is often hormonally driven, so the course can reach 6 to 10 sessions. After that, maintenance once or twice a year keeps the result. The number depends on your skin type and on the pigment and thickness of the hair, and it is set at the consultation.
